A slider bed belt conveyor is a flat belt conveyor in which the carrying belt slides over a smooth, continuous steel or UHMW polyethylene deck plate — called the slider bed — rather than over rollers. This creates a completely gap-free, vibration-free carrying surface that supports every product regardless of base size or shape. Unlike a roller bed conveyor where products must span at least three rollers, a slider bed conveyor gives small bags, pouches, blister packs, and irregularly shaped packages a stable, consistent platform from one end of the run to the other.
